Announcing a new Chief Risk Officer and key growth milestones

Berlin, 13.03.2025 – Moss, a digital spend management platform for European SMEs, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jan Stechele as its new Chief Risk Officer (CRO). Stechele, formerly a member of N26’s Management Board, brings extensive experience in financial risk management and regulatory compliance, strengthening Moss for its next phase of growth.

In just five years, Moss has grown to €40 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR), driven by the increasing demand for its all-in-one spend management solution. Today, Moss processes over €5 billion in annualized payment volume across card transactions, accounts payable and employee reimbursements. This strong momentum has fueled an 80% year-over-year (YoY) increase in Moss’ SaaS ARR. Stechele’s appointment marks a strategic milestone as Moss accelerates the development of key offerings, including global wire payments, multi-currency capabilities and the introduction of advanced treasury products.

Prior to his most recent position with N26, Stechele brings senior-level experience from both traditional banking and fintech, with a focus on the German and European SME space. Stechele will oversee all aspects of Moss’s risk management strategy and program execution, helping set Moss up for long-term growth and success.
